| Rank: Member Experience: 1-2 Years | I was considering taking a simple Joint supplement and I was wondering if you guys think it would be necessary? I am doing the Rippetoe routine and so far havent experienced any considerable pain, besides some back pain. Should I start taking some joint supps as a preventive measure for when I start doing heavy weight? My knees make cracking/popping noises sometime, but its nothing serious really. Just basically trying to figure out if these supplements are for preventive or for treatment. Thanks guys! http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/joint.html |

Gender: | I guess it wouldn't hurt Don't worry too much about the noisy knees. If there is not pain or problems it's probably completely normal. I get the popping and crackling knees sometimes but it never seems to coincide with any actual problems. I've read that it can be something that can go on for years and not really signify any bad problems. But of course that's no guarantee and it could mean some type of wear happening. The knees are pretty good about informing us when something is really wrong. |
