| ....actually the healthfood store. Question - What BCAA has the best ratio of L/V/I, or simply, will any BCAA with more L than V, and more V than I, be sufficient? I figured IT out!......Anyway I picked up some glute, arg, GABA, trib and other stuff. Ordered some protein powder and bought a 1/3 side of beef, 20 lb bag of onions, a 2 lb bag of garlic, 6 pounds of liver, 1 pound of anchovies, a gallon of flax, 2 pounds of head cheese, 1 pound of blue cheese, 1 pound of cheez whiz, 1 1/4 pounds of Kaben cheese, 24 pickled eggs, 1 pound of chile pepper, 8 cans of mackeral, a gallon of 10% cream, 2 turtles and a chicken (in a pine tree) Last edited by TAURUS; 04-30-2005 at 08:59 PM. |

| I was lookig for the optimal ingredient ratio, not the most BCAA's per serving. More L than V than I for sure. I now there's a percentage ratio for 'optimal'ness....not sure where I read it though. Im not sure of the 'best' brand. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | I was looking into the Scivation's Xtend from bulk. I'd never pay $50 unless I know it works, but luckily they just came out with a smaller $20 one. ....Ha...the 'other stuff' was going to be Larg...do you know the conversion factor? How many G's of cit mal does it take to make 1G of Larg? | |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Supplementing the diet with arginine has had limited success in increasing its levels and NO2 in tissues. Studies have shown that the rate of synthesis of arginine in the body is unaffected by intake of dietary arginine. One reason may be the short half-life (one hour) of dietary arginine. Also, dietary arginine is used mostly in the liver, where uptake of arginine is rapid after eating a meal containing about 30-50 grams of protein (about 1-2 grams of arginine). Instead, dietary supplementation with arginine’s precursor, citrulline, has been shown to be more efficient in increasing tissue arginine and NO2 levels. Therefore, citrulline serves as a substrate for energy precursors. The recommended dosage is 2-3 grams twice a day. (pre/post) I know it works better than Larg and lasts longer in your system. So I would just get the cit mal instead and take 3 preworkout and another 2 post. That's what I'll probably do in conjunction with the Xtend. |
