The more I thought about it (thanks to Chuck Rudolph) I really don't think the AVERAGE person in the gym needs that many carbs around their workout even when they aren't cutting. Just seems like an excess to me... | |

| I agree sleazy, and I think thats why i put on so much fat when i bulk. Well that and the "I'm bulking, i should just eat whatever" mentality that I tend to fall into. My pre and post carbs are minimal at this point, if I get 20g on each thats alot. |

Gender: | It has really been the opposite for me. Waxy maize gave me nothing but trouble including big crashes. I didn't notice any real "pump" and dex + malto gives me no trouble. Likewise, pure dextrose is more tolerable to me in terms of crashes than WMS. Waxy maize is ok post for me but it's not really worth the extra cost, imo. |

| ^^ I've only used virtago, and I gotta say that shit tasted delicious. I havent ventured into the bulk wms, mostly because malto/dex is so much cheaper. Sucks that you crash on it, how much were you taking pre w/o? |

Gender: | It wasn't just that.I got past that by adjusting down the amount, and other adjustments. Remember I did a whole explanation in another thread about it. Basically it was affecting me all the time giving me these crashes randomly throughout the day. It didn't stop until I ceased the WMS altoghether. I suspect I'm sensitive to it and it makes me insulin resistant or something. Large amounts of that in the diet have been shown to do that but I wouldn't think the amounts I was consuming would be so troublesome. But I am CERTAIN it was the WMS. ALL the symptoms coincided too closely with going on and off it and I tried it more than once. Honestly it's no big deal. It's not as if I need it and it was never such a huge improvement for me over my standard thing. |

Gender: | A friend of mine has the same symptoms , but he takes it every day and a few times a day at that. I suggested to him to just take it when he trains, but would he listen...no! I guess we're all different after all, I mean I have maltodextrine and that stuff bloats me big time when I take it before or after I train. That's why I use the WM. |

| Rank: Middleweight Experience: > 1 Year | I've been taking 20gr of dextrose & 20gr of malto pre...and then 30gr malto, 10gr of dextrose post. At first I was using 40 grams of each pre, but that was a bit much. If I don't do 20/20, then I'll do 30-40gr malto & 10gr of dextrose pre. I hate sweet stuff, so I've been backing off the dextrose a little. How much do ya'll use just out of curiosity? I just got a digital scale & I've been having fun with it. |
