Default supps for weightloss, confused...again.

Hey guys

I'm so confused in the way of supplements... what would be the best thing(s) to take for weight loss. Right now i don't take anything except whey protein shakes after workouts. Is there other things that I should be taking, or that i could be taking?

Thanks so much

Don't get it in your head that you HAVE to take supplements to get results.

PP is just fine for fat loss. The main thing you have to have in check is your cal intake and cal burning levels.

There is no 'magic supp' that will make you burn off a bunch more fat just by taking it.

Hi Jessica,

Everyone reacts to weight loss differently. Last summer I lost 50 pounds in 3 months through hard training and clean eating. I watched everything I ate and kept my carbs and fat to a minimum.

My workout consisted of very fast paced low weight reps with no more than 1 minute in between sets. I also did about 30 minutes of cardio with my workout as well.

Here is a before and after photo:

I hope this helps.

thanks I didn't really want to take supplements, but i hear people talking about them a lot and thought I maybe should to get better results. I've revamped my diet, and have seen some results through that

Thanks Mr. Right as well and congrats on ur weight loss

You know, this is off-topic, but, how did Mr. Right manage to go through four tats in 3 months? The tats on the left aren't the same as on the right... that's weird.

As for weight loss, IK is right, you don't need anything special. Just keep your cals/macros where they should be. When I was trying to get to 189 I also did some HIIT but I don't know that it's essential - maybe someone more experienced than me could say whether it's a good/bad idea in your situation.

Good luck!

I agree about the supplements. Only thing I have to add is that I wouldn't keep both fat and carbs to a minimum. If you have a lot of muscle, you're better served with keeping your calories close to what you previously were doing all along, then slowly start cutting carbs.

Doing Mr. Right's approach worked great for him because he was probably 28-30% plus with a little muscle. So his efforts were better focused on strictly fat loss via the law of thermodynamics.

BTW, SUPER transformation!! Now it's time to add a little LBM!

Thanks 0311

And yeah, after the weight loss I did an extended cycle then took 3 months off cycle (broke my hand) and am now back on.

This was the result after the fat loss:

Hopefully I'll have a better look in the next 3 months.
