It is very important to have a decent meal with good protein before going to bed. This is because during the night you dont eat anything but your body needs energy to recover from workouts as well as protein to build up muscle mass. If there is not enough nutrients and energy in your system during the night, your body will go from anabolic state to catabolic state. Catabolism is something a bodybuilder try to avoid because it means using muscle for energy. Personally, I eat oatmeal with 2 table spoons of olive oil +cottage cheese before going to bed. Milk protein is best protein for the night because it is slow protein and your body will use it for a long time. Going to bed with an empty stomach is a muscle killer.

Weight gainers and fat burners are something people buy a lot without questioning their effect. Also, with fat burner drinks, you dont really loose weight with drinking something. Caffeine, taurine etc. in a drink may push up your heart rate a little bit, which, in result, bring a littlebit higher calorie consumption, but that is very mariginal.
