Default What Supplement would be good for me?

I'll give a quick break down about myself

Age: 18

Height: 5''8

Weight: 148 lbs

Bench rep: 185 (x10)

Bench max: 225

I have no history of any serious health problems, I wan't to really build my biceps, pectorals and abs. What supplement could I take that would help me with this goal and does not have any bad side affects like hair loss, liver disease and so on. Also something not to expensive.

Thank you very much for any help.

What exercises do you do to build those areas? Supplementing won't help if you're not already doing the right things.

I am in high school so I do this all in my weight lifting class.

1. 3 sets bench press

2. 3 sets incline bench

3. 3 sets butterfly

4. 3 sets on ab machine

5. 3 sets on bicep curls

Squats and deadlifts are great for building abs. Especially squats. Try varying the rep range for curls. I've been doing rest pause sets to stimulate my biceps more. Ab machines are great and all, but I prefer compound movements. Doing flat and incline dumbbell bench press will stimulate your pecs more than with a barbell.

Stick to the basics that have helped tons of lifters with their gains. Multivitamin, whey protein, creatine (mono or ester) maltodextrin, dextrose, and lots of healthy food and water.

Yea to be honest my abs have not really benfited much from the ab machine I will try switching to ethier deadlift or squat as u recommend.

J-Rock out of those supplements that you listed which would have the least side affects but still builds lean muscle? Also I drink only water I would probley drink pop or water once a month at most but what do you consider healthy food? Carbs? no Sodium? What do you recommend for lunch and dinner?

I would have to say the whey, maltodextrin, and dextrose have no side effects. The creatine, depending on the individual may cause some bloating. Creatine ethyl ester is a more potent form of creatine that doesn't require drink large amounts of water. All creatine does is help keep the muscle from fatiguing as quickly, so you can pump out a few more reps each set. It is naturally produced by your body, so 5-10grams of monohydrate is enough.

Here's a site that has a healthy foods list. Enjoy!!
