Default 0311's CEE Pro Review

CEE PRO Review made by Muscletech. My review will be contingent upon strength/muscle increases. I'm not using the scale as a guage for effectiveness, but rather the measuring tape and weight progression on ALL lifts. It's not a miracle drug, but it should have noticable increases as advertised. ;)

Beginning stats:
5"10", 243 lbs (waking up)
BF-17% as of 2 weeks ago. (Hardly Any Cardio  )

Measurements: (Taken cold)
Right Arm- 18.25"
Right Calf- 17.25"
Right Thigh- ? Edit when I find out.
Chest- ? Edit when I find out.

Supplementation:
-N-Large-2
-100% whey
-Multivitamin (2x's a day)
-CEE Pro
-Taurine-1 gram (pre/post)
-L-Tyrosine 3 grams (preworkout)
-I dumped my Bulk CEE/Cit Malate to make this test more accurate.

Training Routine:
-I'm currently taking a break from the heavy-ass weights of DC Training and am currently doing AGVT. Not exactly like the outlined link I presented. Some of my exercises are different and I use less rest between supersets for more intensity (70-90 seconds vs. 100) I also don't take that extra rest day so I'm basically doing a 3 on 1 off until I need additional days which I'll take. I think this program will be one of the best in terms of seeing any benefits from CEE. I'm also starting cardio back up again to drop some bodyfat.

http://www.bodybuilding.net/showthread.php?t=760

Results:
I'll post my weight, bodyfat, and measurement results when I run out of CEE...About a month and change. Every week I'll post any other noticable effects that CEE is supposed to have...ie. recovery, endurance, muscle pump/fullness, ect.

I'll be taking the CEE Pro using the following schedule:
-Workout Days: 1 serving 1 hour before workout, immediately post.
-Nonworkout Days: 1 serving in morning, 1 serving late afternoon.

Normally I'd take 1 serving just before working out with my preworkout shake, but because of it being in pill form, I'm thinking I need some time to digest it.

See you in a week.

It's been a few days now. CEE doesn't need a loading period so I've been paying closer attention to how I feel during my workouts. AGVT has me doing supersets with a good amount of weight with limited rest (90 sec.). I have noticed both a better pump and slightly better recovery between supersets. The plan calls for my first day of 10 x 4's to only be a 6-7% (10 pound) increase in weight. I instead added 30 pounds of weight and was able to do all 10 sets of 4 on incline barbell presses. This was either because the initial 10 x 5 was too light or the CEE gave me more strength. I'll see in the future if this pattern continues.

I've been thirsty as hell as everyone else is. I get really bad cotton-mouth if I don't have a water bottle in hand. I think it's a good thing for two reasons.
1. Forces me to increase my daily water intake.
2. Shows me that this cee is drawing more water into my muscles. I get some great pumps lately in the gym. Nothing jaw dropping, but a welcome side effect.

I like the pills way better than powder. It's twice as convenient and helps make sure that my body takes in the exact same amount every time. My recovery shows slight improvement as well. I also can visually see that I gained weight. Some can be attributed to AGVT for sure, but my diet has remained the same as before. I think the only true test is when I finish the bottle and see what effect it has when I stop.

I decided to not take the pills on my off days because my body will already be saturated with creatine whether I take it everyday or not. So far I'm seeing better pumps (slightly) and increased strength. Pumps could be partly from ALA for sure. I've been hitting the gym in the early pm. I'm toying with the idea of taking 2 pills in the afternoon, and 2 pills 45 minutes before the gym. I've been trying to take them at different times to measure if there's any effect in doing so. I've found so far that I get better pumps/stamina when I take 2 an hour before the gym instead of right before (probably due in part to it being in pill form) Powder digests much faster, but I FEEL that I benefit more from 45-60 minutes before.

Still got alot left. As I previously stated, I only take 2 pills on my off days from lifting. So far it's been good. Nothing dramatic for me. I do know that Muscletech does have high test/purity standards because I have taken their products in the past. I also liked that they sent that pamphlet that shows where they had the purity of the CEE tested. The results have been positive so far.

On a side note, I believe that for one to reap the benefits of ALA they would need at least 200 mg. At least that's what I picked up at Bulk. This product has 200 mg spread between creatine AKG and ALA. Seems like this is another marketing strike for the weary eyed. Anyone else notice this?

CEE-Pro Absorb 200mg
-Creatine alpha-ketoglutarate
-alpha lipoic acid

I'm just about done. I haven't really noticed much besides some subtle strength gains and a slightly increased pump. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again. I will not know for sure about the strength gains until I'm off it for a week or two. We'll see. I still had better results with Pinnacle Esterfied creatine....

Final Review:
Finished my bottle. My thoughts remain the same. Slightly increased pump, minimal strength gains. My thirst was elevated and I suffered from a really dry mouth during the nighttime especially. The convenience was a plus, but in my honest opinion, I'll stick to regular creatine for half the price.
