Been outta the supplement game awhile, suggestions?

I used to supplement heavy 5+ years ago, I've been lifting fairly solid for the past year now (it's been an on and off thing since 04'.) I was referenced Jack3D about a year ago, and I'm really digging it. Besides that the only other supplement I take is Dymatize Elite protein. I'm looking to add something else and A LOT of new stuff has come out in the past 5 years so I'm looking for suggestions.

Creatine Monohydrate, Protein, Multivitamin, and Fish Oil. Those are about the only things worth taking, and I can't think of anything that has come out to change my mind. These few I've mentioned are OK, then there are a ton of others that are a complete waste of money (99% of the stuff being sold).

Kev is right. There isn't much but great advertising in the supplement world other than what he listed.

those are pretty solid key supps, I would have to agree. There are a lot out there that is just pure marketing, but depending on you fitness goals, you could also look into Geranium, L-carnitine, CLA (fat loss) and others such as glutamine and BCAA's.

Just started using geranium in my pre-workout stack, mix that with some caffeine and you have one kick-ass combo!

I think the primary value of BCAA's is when used with fasted training. Otherwise I'm not sure they would make much difference as long as you are getting enough protein with your diet.

BCAAs are great in a calorie defecit to prevent catabolism and keep calories down - rest of the time sufficent protein intake and use of regular whey is more than enough to obtain amino acids.

A lot of research on beta-alanine that looks good. I've read that the results from use are better on a long term and with a higher rep range (10-14).

Gaspari nutrition has some good stuff. Recently tried Vasotropin stacked with SuperPump Max. Really like that, pump was like I have never seen but the must haves are still creatine, multi, protein, and EFA's.
