the cheapest creatine monohydrate you can find is the best.

drink more water :)

That is what I was going to say...drink more water.

Cheaper monohydrate means powder by the way. You pay an arm and a leg to have them stuff it into capsules for you.

I wouldn't necessarily go for the MOST cheap, though. Gotta be careful. But let's say inexpenisive.

You need to drink extra water while on creatine.

I have heard great things about the 189. I am on SizeOn right now, I'll let you know how that goes.

creatine

Im new on this site but after reading most of the responses to creatine questions I feel I have to jump in and say something. There is a ton of research done on creatine and its benefits. ALL forms of creatine start from plain creatine monohydrate. From what I have researched powder forms of creatine are by far the best for absorbtion. Basic Creatine monohydrate is poorly absorbed into your system, approx. 10-30% if your lucky causing the bulk of the product to just sit in your stomachs acidic conditions making creatinine which is now a useless bile ie: bloating and gastrointestinal discomfort. Many products have been discovered and marketed ie: CEE, TriCreatine Malate, and Creatine magnesium Chelate. All these products "bond" the creatine monohydrate with another molecule that allow better, believed 100%, absorbtion into your system through the small intestines eliminating all the monohydrate side effects. Remember...you get what you pay for. Most of what you see on the market today is nothing but fillers and by products. I hope this helps as I am not the best writer relaying what Im trying to say.
