You need to take it all days, it's about saturating the muscles with precious atp. Wouldn't bother with the pre-workout serving though

Just got back into training a few weeks ago after almost 20 years im 45 now. I did enter the Mr Ireland contestant once In the mid 80s Ive never taken steroids my hero is Steve Reeves. My measurements then were height 5.8 46 inch Chest 15 ¾ arms Thighs 23inches Calves 16 and Waist 28 Not great by today’s standard but it was all natural and bloody hard work.
My strength and muscle size is going though the roof at present as you would expect from Muscle memory .
Creatines new to me im on whey Protein after my workouts and a ton load of Tuna and sardines.
My local store has a good deal on 700mg Creatine capsules I know you have to drink a hell of a lot of Water not easy to do id prefer beer lol I don’t want to go crazy with it. Could I take 3 Capsules each morning and 3 after a work out. would that be beneficial or just a waste of time?
Is it ok to drink 3 or 4 cans of beer one night a week when on it or are all you guys who are on it tee total?
Any advice appreciated Thanks.

Remember that creatine monohydrate needs a carrier molecule (glucose) to get into the blood stream. I don't think it matters when you take it so long as you get it in between workouts. Some people do a loading phase, but I always recommend to people to take it every day for 2-3 weeks, and then just take it after workouts. If you stop taking it completely, it should take about a month for your creatine levels to go all the way back to normal. I don't think it really matters whether you take it before or after, although theoretically, you might absorb it better after a workout. Personally, I do 5g pre and 5g post when I'm taking it. It's probably a hell of a lot more than is effective, but I really don't care. It's not hurting anything. I believe creatine monohydrate has been shown to be effective in doses as small as 2.3g. I would take...7 capsules post workout if I were you.

And no, the beer shouldn't bother that. Like you said, just stay hydrated. I had 10 beers one night last weekend and I'm still kicking.

I hear ya on the beer...going without beer is like going without water for me. But I've been drinking too much lately...I'm going to move that around so I don't drink on workout days. If I do drink, it will be 3-4 beers and only on a Saturday night. I realized that last Saturday after I had 10 and only caught a small buzz. It's been getting in the way of training, which is more important.

I started taking creatine again about 2 and half weeks ago. I can already tell a difference, I think. Especially since I'm doing higher volume right now.

Beer is good, but too much is unfortunately just too much (for training )

I’ve been taking creative now for a week and I noticed I felt very tired after my last workout and ive been tired ever since. I’ve grown rapidly but seem to be having the side affect described here so im going to come off it now.

Warnings: • As with all Creatine products, maintain an adequate state of hydration during its use. Do not use it you suffer from diabetes or if you are prone to hyperglycemia and/or hypoglycemia. • Since Creatine Transport stimulates insulin production and creatine delivery rapidly, some individuals and first time users may experience diarrhea, nausea, tiredness, or extreme thirst.

Anyone else felt tired when on it? My cholesterol level and blood pressure is fine.
