creatine is creatine....if you want to spend 80 bucks get cell-tech, but if you want almost the same results for about $50 dollars cheaper i would just get the gnc brand or you can buy in bulk.

There are a few different kinds of creatine. But Monohydrate is the same in all. Bulk would be the best. Stay away from GNC...!

Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL (CEE) is creatine monohydrate with an ester attached. Esters are organic compounds that are formed by esterification - the reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohols. This one is my personal favorite. No loading like mono, no water retention, can be taken on workout days only if wanted.

Hey guys, I just started a bulking phase myself and thought I would add some creatine into my diet. I stopped by GNC today to buy the cheapest can of pure creatine monohydrate I could find, and the guy tried talking me into some uber expensive stuff called MRI® Anabolic Switch. He gave me some whole story about how it's better and blah blah blah. So needless to say I walked out empty handed figuring I'd hop on here and research it then order the correct stuff online. Is this just more marketing crap? All I want is a cheap but effective tub of creatine. lol

Like TALO said, avoid GNC. Or any other "trendy" stores like that. All they are is the same product you can get elsewhere with a "trendy" logo on it for an all too expensive "trendy" price. Especially when it comes to CM. (simply my opinion here, sorry if anyone likes those places)

Also, be careful to check your ingredient listings on the monohydrates. LOTS of companies like to throw in a ton of refined sugars (Cell Tech comes to mind right away, having something like 75g of sugar/serving). There's plenty of cheap mono powders out there that aren't going to add all the extra crap in there.

I personally haven't tried the CEE, but it's pretty well unanimous among my friends that have, that it's much better in terms of no bloating and no loading and all that jazz.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've never tried the CEE, but if it's that good, I might as well give it a shot. The Axis Labs brand seems to be a good deal. Thanks for verifying what I thought. ;)

Just from personal experience: Stay away from GNC and Muscle Tech products. GNC is over priced and the people that work there are driven by commisions they get from sales and will mislead you. As for Muscle Tech, I think they are overpriced even outside of GNC and are a lot of hype. Seems like they spend more money on advertising then they do on researching their supps.

Just to clarify, you don't need to load with mono. Regular doses over a period will bring your levels up. The pain in the ass you have with mono is the glucose transporter. CEE doesn't need the transport, its good to go with any liquid.

Prolab's creatine mono has worked for me and its usually sold in packages of 2 500g containers. They aren't very expensive and it does the job.
