creatine sickness

hey all
I am not new to creatine I have been through a bottle of Kre-Kalyn recently. Well after plenty of research I decided for financial purposes to switch to Creatine Monohydrate powder. I worked out today and came home after my workout today to mix some up. Directions said to take a well-rounded teaspoon which should be about 5g. I decided to do a loading stage so I took 1.5 teaspoon i figured it was about 8g or so I mixed it with apple juice. I drank all of it within about 3 minutes and then I prepared my dinner about 20minutes later when I was half-way through my dinner ,my stomache started feeling really bad and I got the only side-affect known to creatine ,diarrahea. Any advice on what I should do? lower how much I take and skip the loading stage? thanks to all

Skip the loading phase. 4-5g should be sufficient.

creatine overdose

You should consume at least one liter of water (about 2 pints) within 45 minutes of consuming any creatine monohydrate powder. At no point should you take more than the recommended amount, which is 5g of 100% creatine monohydrate.

Also, you can take the 'loading dose' over a period of time. You should also drink lots of water. Creatine binds with water, pulling it into the cell and pushing out acidic waste products of metabolism.

To take it all at once is like eating your total dietary intake at one meal. Possible, but generally a stupid idea. If you are using supplements, know what you are doing before you stick it in your mouth.

Powdered creatine is over 20x more dense than creatine in natural sources (e.g. meat). Use with caution. Drink lots of water.

Did you notice that you should drink lots of WATER?

Yes, not juice, not power drink, not beer, but water.

If this seems unclear, read the post again. Twice. Out loud.

^^^ Drink a liter of water within 45 min of consuming any creatine powder?

Where do people get these dumbass ideas from........?
