whats up everybody. i was in bjs and seen those eas myoplex for a good price. 42 grams of protein each shake. well all in all i had to dish out a lot of money for some stuff and was unable to go get the usually protein drink i would have so i have been using those as my main shake since i got them, they taste pretty ok and they are convieniant because they are already mixed. they have seven grams of fat which i dont think is to high.


my questions is............................. is it a good source for a protein shake. im gonna try to drink one in the morning post workout and before i go to bed since i need around 300 grams of protein a day.


would i be able to stick to this or should i change it up?

If it's cheaper for you to do it that way I don't see anything wrong with them. High in protein. What's the carb count ?

I think they normally have around 19g of carbs. But! It's got a lot of vitamins and minerals. Actually makes a decent low calorie meal replacement. If you don't mind paying, then go for it. I think they're great minus the price...

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. hasnt got to me 0311.

it has 19 grams of carbs. what it is i read the posts and i see you guys talking about the difference of different proteins and which drinks are better than others. and with these being already made i can faithfully drink about 2 or 3 a day.

since i see you guys give the go on it ill keep using it. thanks!

I forgot to mention that they're more casein than whey. So...not the best post workout shake IMO. Great before bed or any other time of day though.

oh ok. well i will try to see what i can get that would be good for post workout then. i knew that commercial with brady quinn in it was bullshit lol

Haha yeah. If there are 42 grams of protein and more than half of it is casein, then you're probably not getting enough fast digesting protein. A good option might be to take that and then add a scoop (or 2) of whey to it. And maybe add in some malto or something. Just an idea.

They didn't have the EAS whey there as well?

The myoplex are really meant to be meal replacements. But they are better than nothing post workout for sure. But no matter how cheap they were on sale for it still isn't a cost-effective way just to get a "protein drink".

Malto is maltodextrin.
