Gender: | Bio-X Ultimate Once A Day would be good enough, IMO . It's cheap and will last you a long time. |

Gender: | I've never taken a multivitamin ever. I might be going against everyone here, but I've always felt that whole foods rich in protein, vitamins and minerals are better than any multivitamin out there. I've also wondered how much ingredients does your body really absorb from a multivitamin? If anything, you're pretty much pissing it all out...jmo |

Gender: | ^^^^I certainly will not try to talk you into to taking multi. It's just insurance after all and if you don't feel you need it... As far as absorption, for the most part, they are well absorbed. The reason for the mega-doses in multis is basically for overkill and to make up for some of the competition for absorption. But it's pretty much been shown that, yes, most vitamins and minerals are very well absorbed. That doesn't mean that it doesn't get complicated and some "forms" are better than others. BUT if you worry about all of that then you are REALLY taking multi's too seriously Basically you take someone with a clinical deficiency not based on some sort of mal-absorption problem or other defect, give them a pill...and bango, deficiency gone. So, yeah, they work if the deficiency is simply dietary. But if I forget to take vitamins, lol, I don't lose sleep over it and neither should most of us, I don't imagine. |

Gender: | I actually have a question based on all this. I sometimes see people reccomending a multi vit/min brand saying "it works". How in the world do you know? I mean I really want to know. It's not rhetorical. What does it feel like when a mulit works? |

Gender: | The only time I have noticed a multi working is with the packs . That being the digestive enzymes ( more regular ). Other than that, I think it's a subconscious thing. |

I used to get hangovers that lasted for days. Now if I take a multi before drinking, right after, and the next morning, it's not nearly as bad. That's the only time I've ever seen a difference. | |
