Default Help with supplements please!

Ok... I'm a new member.... so let me start off by saying hello..... My names Adam, I'm 20 years old and have been working out off and on for about 3 years now but in the past 4 months i have joined a gym and have decided to get serious with working out.... i started off with a supplement from MetRX called Amped ECN NOS... well... after about a month on this stuff i started to notice blood in my urine.... i instantly got off the stuff and threw it away... I blame myself because I'm pretty sure i did not drink enough water with it even though i was drinking a gallon plus every day. so the past 3 months i have not been taking anything, I recently bought a multi-vitamin from GNC (mega men sport) and i also have Nitric Oxide Maximizer (GNC brand) and Protein (GNC brand).... I'm not too sure about the Nitric Oxide from GNC only because you have to take 6 pills all at once on an empty stomach(according to the lady at GNC)

if anyone could just give me a few helpful hints of where to start and how to go about without getting a kidney stone.... i would really appreciate it.... also im looking to get leaner and more defined muscles at the moment.... I'm currently 5'9" and 190 lbs... I have the meat on me to get big but right now im trying to get some definition... maybe I'm going about this backwards lol....

thanks and all help is appreciated

i would personally give up the NO..thats just me..just get you some cee, whey, and you already have the multis; stack that with a good diet and plenty of cardio and you should have no problem cutting the pounds off and getting a leaner. Im not sure if was the supps making you piss blood......you should get that checked out man. You should get plenty more replys on this forum with similar advice to mine, all you have to do is stay consistant<------(spell?). Good luck man.

the MetRx stuff i was taking at creatine in it... if that is what CEE is... and i read a few articles online and there were mixed comments about creatine causing kidney stones... i was peeing blood because i had a kidney stone.... i had lower back pain in the kidney area's... but all is well i ended up in the hospital for 1 day... they gave me medication and im all good now... but i also have been off all supplements except protein of course

CEE is Creatine Estyl Ether, and its usually in NO products. The NO products don't live up to their claims, so its best to buy something else. Your main supplements are the ones that have been around forever...whey, creatine (mono or CEE), and a multi-vitamin are really all you need for supplements.

There's no point in getting excited over 'quick <insert goal here>' that these companies promise because guess what...it doesn't happen that way.

Before supplements are considered, you should make sure that your diet and training are in order because those are the most critical parts of training.

go get some protein, creatine (any will do), fish oil, and multi vitamins. and your question on NO, NO2, NOS all the same stuff but you don't need that right now. that just gives you some cut and your vains show more. if i were you i'd just take the NOS during your cut? but at 6'1 190 thats isn't all that big... you said you have some "meat" just eat right, lift heavy, rest and repeat your meaty section will turn into muslces in no time. during your first month or two you'll gain up to 10-15lb? well for me at least. just stick to it with dedication. good luck oh stop going to gnc their just wanting you to buy the more expensive things because their base commission. (i use to work ther) lol. the only thing i get there are the whay because anything else just makes me gag.

im not no professional but... don't you ever for once let your job or anything get into your way of working out. i work straght 9's everyday then go help my parents out. look to TALO's sig. doesn't matter what time of the day i'll go work at at 2 in the morning if i have to get that work out in. its a must! and for eating fast food thats cheating! so drop the subway because its too over priced for a weak small sandwhich. go get some quality food you can easly make for ex. tuna, cottage cheese, yogart, chicken, nuts, peanut butter, honey, just eat clean and healthy and remember to take your protien shakes and creatine even on days you don't work out. and no its not a meal replacement. down a shake if you can everytime you finish eating. creatine once a day, fish oil and multi vitamins. stick to it and it'll be a routine to you.

i didn't do caps because it slows me down but anyways good luck to ya oh ps dont go to gnc go here... http://www.vitaminworld.com/
they have buy one get one free sometimes. the creatine on there for ex. i got 10lb tub for 32 dollars.
