Default how long should i wait to take creatine?

i havent been consistantly in the gym for almost a year now because of a deployment i had to iraq. now i've been back in for bout 2 weeks, i can tell my strength has gone down a lot and as of now i'm just taking protein post workout. how long do you think i should wait till i start cycling creatine into my workout again? or does it really matter?

as long as you plan on training consistently and following a high protein diet i would think that you could start taking creatine right away. just make sure you drink a lot of water with it.

It should be okay to start up on creatine right away. 5-10 grams of creatine ethyl ester is enough. I like the ester more than the monohydrate. There is no loading and no bloating. Just keep the water uptake up, but if you are bodybuilding you should know that already.

3-6g is enough. 3 before and 3 after. Your body can only take in so much,to much and you will be wasting it.

I'd suggest going with mono over CEE, if your stomach can handle it. Much better results across the board, there are a few threads on here that compare the two, and there are no studies proving CEE's effectiveness (from what I remember), as apposed to hundreds that confirm mono.

I think CEE holds up as well as the mono. But I don't know if there is such a huge or any difference at all. But CEE is a bit more money. So as hrdgain said Mono might be your best choice.
