kre alkalyn
Hey have any of you guys ever heard of this or tried it? I just ordered some and it is pretty cheap. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I found this in Flex Mag Dec-05 ( I was just re-reading it the other day).
Kre-Alkalyn is a "buffered creatine", meaning that it is processed at a higher pH level than regular creatine. The highter th pH level, the less acidic the conditions. Beffering prevents creatine from breaking down to the byproduct creatine. Creatine converts to creatinine at a higher rate when it's exposed to acidic conditions. It is believed that this process can be halted by pH level manipulation during the manufacturing process.Slowing or stopping the conversion of creatine to creatinine may help the body absorb more creatine,thus lowering the dosage requirements. Although no clinical trials (as of Dec'05) have been conducted on Kre-Alkalyn, anecdotal reports suggest that it has similar benefits to regular creatines yet at a lower dose and without stomach discomfort or bloating. Take 1 1/2 - 3 g of Kre-Alkalyn before and after workouts. As with CEE, a loading phase is not necessary. |

Ummm reading the 2 studies in the link, they only talk about CEE. I see no reference to KA which is totaly different from CEE. So how can you say that you dont recommend KA buy those studies. KA is CM at a PH of 12. Here is a link to studies on KA

I wouldn't trust the ka.net site. Seems strongly biased and the publications do not are not peered reviewed or anything. If they are, a link to the journal would be to there advantage. The studies in strong and fit on CEE are from peer-reviewed journals and shows some statistical values are in there. But, you right there is no information ka.

How is it "totally different" from CEE? Maybe it is but I sincerely doubt it. The Kre websites make the same claims--that creatine quickly degrades, blah, blah, blah.

In my mind CEE and KA are about the same. Creatine with a change in them. One through a pH buffer and the other through molecular binding, same stuff different pitch.
