There's defitnitely some good prices for Primaforce. One brand that is cheaper for glutamine (but not as cheap as I was thinking) is Higher Power (BB.com). $29.99 or 1000 grams so that's 13 cents a serving as opposed to 14 for Primaforce. Also it's micronized glutamine. Not a big difference but it all adds up.

(You may have heard that Higher Power had problems with the purity of their CEE product, but so did a whole bunce of other brands, and some still do. A lot of the stuff is coming from China and is just creatine or even mostly creatanine. Higher Power fixed their CEE and I have no reason not to trust their gluatamine.)

However, the champ is Puritan's Pride. The disadvantage is that you have to wait for their 3 for 1 sale, but they come around often. You can get three 300 gram containers for 14.49. That's 7 cents a serving! I've seen their glutamine writeup at ConsumerLab.com and it's pure all the way through.

Now, I can't guarantee Higher Power, but I think Puritan can always be trusted.

That's what I do. With plenty of water or whatever. It's just quicker and easier and you don't have to worry about it's stabibility in solution or the fact that it won't dissolve and starts to settle to the bottom.

In a PWO shake that's the best way if you have a shake with a liter or more of water. Same with your creatine. I only drink half the shake all at once and then I drink the rest of it slowly, so I spoon my glutamine and creatine into my mouth at the beginning. If I were to mix it in the shake it would be hanging around in solution too long and I would have to chug over a liter of liquid so I wouldn't have to worry about it breaking down.

But if I chugged the whole shake at once that would be counterproductive because I'm putting too much in my stomach at once so it will take more time for the protein and sugars to get into my system.

The only thing is that if you use a micronized product - be careful - that stuff is so fine it will hit your throat a choke you. You could end up coughing up a big cloud of powder.
