Need advice with pre workout

I am 30 year old, 5'8" and 79 kg. I am doing gym from last 1 and a half year. Initially my aim was to loose weight (at that time I was 85) and after loosing weight (I came down to 74 kgs in 6 months) I started doing more and more weights.

From Last 1 Year or so I have been doing Weight training and I am pretty motivated and dedicated towards it. After seeing little improvement in my measurements I decided to start power lifting (Thats what my trained adviced to me). I Have been doing power lifting from last 2 months and the only supplement i take is ON 100% Whey. I am taking 3 scoops in a day. 2 after the workout and 1 in the night.

In the last 2 months itself i have increased my diet and thats why i have gained some weight. I want to add some muscle to my body. Please recommend if i should start taking any pre workouts now?

If Yes, Can i go for Jack3d, as i have heard great and great reviews about it. Will it be okay for a guy like me or should i start with a "lighter" product to begin with or should i be even thinking about taking pre workouts?

Please help me out. Thanks :)

I'd stay away from any NO products. In my opinion, and there is plenty of scientific evidence out there to support me, NO products for weight lifting and muscle building is total SHIT and way hyped up by supplement companies to make $$. I can point you in the direction of a scientific study on it if you want.

Pre workout I'd go for some caffeine if you want a little energy boost. But the essentials if you have the cash are most definitely:

BCAAS
Creatine Monohydrate

BCAAS will help your workouts tremendously. Try to stay away from supplement company's hypes on products. Most likely, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Just read into the science behind the supplements ingredientes.

^^^ I agree pretty much with the exception of the BCAA part. I don't think it's worth the money to buy BCAAs. If you look at the amino acid profile of a scoop of whey, there are plenty of BCAAs...about as many or more than a in standard serving of just BCAAs. Plus you get other essential amino acids. Blood amino acid levels will spike pretty quickly and just as high, so unless you're worried about how it will sit on your stomach, I think BCAAs by themselves are not really necessary.

Make sure you get approximately a 3:1 ratio of carbs to protein in your post workout shake. Keep your calorie intake up and you'll put on some weight.

In my opinion, consume a good quality creatine monohydrate pre workout and mix some creatine in your post workout whey protein shake to aid in recovery and growth.

Agree with the previous post re:NO products.

Try 2-3 grams of l-tyrosine with a cup of coffee (or green tea if your caffeine tolerance is low). That's a good, inexpensive "boost" and it's all I ever use.

A lot of the pre workout supps are over-hyped (like everything else).
