Default Over 50...back into training... looking to add mass

Got back into body building training, last March, after a two decade sabbatical. (I WAS successful, at the amatuer level during that timeframe.) Hitting it three to four days a week, moderate weights (for a guy who's not 30 anymore), pretty solid on my diet, but I made a choice to eliminate red meats and seafood from my diet. I'm far from complaining about the results up to this point, but I'd like to begin to add some mass. I'm also not too keen on whey protein but would consider a QUALITY soy protein if it would help. I'm entertaining suggestions and would be glad to share more info as needed.

What is your beef with whey protein? From my understanding, soy protein is great for women because it has positive effects on raising estrogen in the body. Not good for adding mass...

get a good whey protein that is low on lactose or lactose free and has low cholesterol. Whey protein absorbes fast and is about 98% usable by humans opposed to the longer digestive breakdown of soy that is about 70%usable. Try the brands Integrated, Healthy N Fit, or NOW. Healthy N Fit even make an egg too which is also cholesterol free.

I'd stay away from soy. If you want to avoid whey I'd think about egg protein or casein. You also may want to consider taking creatine monohydrate--that's the king of supplements as far as I'm concerned.
