supplement mixing question??
ok im currently taking No Xplode and it works great for energy but has no monohydrate creatine in it which i hear is best, so i ask people about it and ask if i could mix both and i was told to take No xplode pre work out and that mono after workout, but will the mono still work? dont you need to take it with your workout to get it to work better and i was told it works best with fruit juice, what kinds? and can it have suger in it,but more importantly should i take 2.5 grams of mono and then xplode before workout and then 2.5 grams of mono after workout, what works best?how should i take these togeather? and also i was told not to take protein supplements with these,so should i take them on my off days,or just forget protein sups. and just eat protein foods?

You should forget supplements and focus on your diet. |
Go ahead and mix them if you want.

Creatine doesn't need to be taken preworkout, it does however need to be supplimented daily, with a glucose carrier (like dextrose) in order for you muscles to reach saturation, which is what you want to happen.
I can't speak to the mixing of the two supps though, I have no idea whats in NO explode. |
NO Xplode does in fact have creatine in it, but its really underdosed. You shouldn't have any problems adding extra creatine to your mix.

so would this be best xplode pre workout for energy and focus and creatine post workout with something with dextrose in it to get the best results?

There is a ton of creatine info on this site, so start there. And yes, adding a ton of dextrose to your diet will add extra calories, and if not used for energy it can cause fat gain, but using mono without a glucose carrier is pointless.
This is another reason to use mono directly following your workout, when you really should be taking in protein and dextrose/maltodextrin anyway. |
