Syntha-6 or Muscle Milk

Hey, I need an opinion. I'm starting a stack (I know creatine is missing) and i cant make up my mind between muscle milk or bsn syntha-6 for the protein. here it is:

Multi: Animal Pak
EAA/BCAA: Purple Wraath
Fatty Acid: Flax Seed Oil (Im allergic to fish)
Protein: Syntha 6 or Muscle Milk???

I'm getting plenty of BCAA from the Wraath and i was wondering if you had any experience with either of the 2 proteins or have any other suggestions... thanks!
(My diet is good so thats not a huge factor.)

Personally...I would go with neither. Why are you set on those two? I assume it's because of taste reasons. Both are blends and neither is as effective as taking a whey isolate or a pure casein protein. When are you planning on taking the shakes?

Pre and Post work out was when I was planning on taking them, these were just 2 that i was thinking about trying, i guess i was lookin for something a little step up from your basic whey... (otherwise id probably just stick to ON 100%) would u recommend anything?

Haha..ON 100% is better than Syntha 6 IMO. I don't know why people think otherwise. Muscle Milk has 18g of fat per serving. And it is mostly casein protein. Which means that it will be absorbed VERY SLOWLY. Which doesn't make it a good option for pre or post workout. Syntha 6 ingredients are listed as whey concentrate, whey isolate, casein, etc. In that order. ON 100% ingredients are listed as whey isolate, whey concentrate, whey peptides, etc. In that order...which means there is more whey isolate per serving.

Just shop around. If you were looking to spend that much money, then go with a pure whey isolate. You'll be able to find some for the same price, I think. That would be a step up from a whey blend.

never really thought about it that way... with the ingredient listing and all. i didnt know that muscle milk was mostly casein so that definitely outta the picture. ill have to do some researchin.. lots of good info thanks a lot

If you are going to spend that kind of money on Syntha 6, look into trueprotein.com and buy a pure whey isolate formula.

or you could be cheap like me and buy the supermarket brand stuff where-ever you go. actually its not supermarket brand its "disigner whey" very cheap and its got 22g of protien a serving (i usualy use 2 servings plus milk) and something like 200 cals a serving. great stuff, and it doesn't taste that bad.

get ON 100% OR you can try what I do.

I take muscle milk before bed because of the casein. I take 1 scoop of whey before workout and after workout, and 1 scoop first thing in the mornings then eating 20 mins later.

Hope that helps and just a fyi BSN is waaayy overpriced... but I do want to try their NO-XPLODE sometime to see what the hype is about.

noxplode has to be taken on an empty stomach before working out. That sucks. Get some citrulline malate.

What has worked best for me is using both ON whey and casein. You can decide the amounts you want to use yourself.
