When to take?
 
I take Serious Mass WieghtGainer, and Protien Shakes and was wondering the best time to drink them? I have a three-day split routine just to let you know.

Pre and Post workout shake. If you are trying to gain weight drink more inbetween meals, just make sure the shake aren't your whole diet. You need whole food.

Pre meaning before you work out. Post meaning after you work out. You want to drink a protein shake immediantly after you work out. You will also want to make sure you have at least 50gms of dextrose in that shake. You may have some in there already if you purchased a weight gainer. You could also mix it with grape juice.

You want the dextrose in the post shake. Adding it to the pre shake is optional. It depends on your goals.

niether my protien shake or my wieghtgainer has dextrose in it. what is it?and what is it for? Is it a must to have? because i dont really want to spend more money.

If you are just trying to put on some mass, drink that shit at night right before you go to bed. In few months u will have a mass gainer belly :D Like Dr X said pre and post workout, and throw in half a serving at night too.

If you want to stretch out your weightgainer then try and buy some 100% whey as well. 70 servings is $38. Here's what I do. Serious Mass has 2 scoops in a serving. So just use one big scoop of that and another big scoop of 100% whey and mix them. This way you get about 50 grams of protein, roughly 150 carbs, and everything else that comes with both.

My protien shake has 71g of protien per serving and my wieghtgainer has 74g of protien per serving, I think thats enough. Whats 100% whey?

Where the hell are you getting 70 grams from???? I have the same stuff and it says right on the label 50 grams of protein. I understand you are new to weightlifting, but reading labels should prove not to be a challenge. :eek:

Well, I personally have never seen a weight gainer with more than 55 grams of protein. You are probably getting that 74 grams of protein when mixed in 16 oz of milk. You said u know how to fucking read, after all I dont think u know how to do it properly.

I know you're just a little kid wanting to be like me and some of the others on the board so I'll let that one go. Try and be a little thankful that I even bother helping you in the first place. Your training was all F'ed up and I helped you. You are taking serious mass, the exact same name of protein I take. Looking at my label, it says 50 grams. That is what everyone talks about. Obviously noone cares how much protein it has mixed in with milk. Now, I see what you 'meant' to say, that if you mix it with milk then of course you get your precious 74 grams. That's all you had to say. To me and the rest of the people who bother helping you, you are five foot nothing and weigh one hundred and nothing. Know your place and act accordingly because this bored doesn't need any more kids.

hey 311 have u ever used Nlarge 2? If so how does serious mass compares with it. The reason I am asking u that is because it has 50 grams of protein per just 600 calories. :D

I use both. I use N-Large-2 postworkout because it isn't as thick and is easier on my stomach. Serious Mass I take midday just for a big deposit of carbs/calories. Serious Mass has a protein blend of egg protein and whey whereas N-Large has whey concentrate. They both have 50 grams :eek: of protein. (for clarification this is in water not milk :confused: )
Serious Mass is a rip-off unless you use 1 scoop a day instead of the recommended 2. That's how to make it last. For bulking, I'd recommend the two together.

I know both of them has 50 grams of protein per serving when mixed in water, but N large gives u same amount of protein for half the calories. Also N large contains dextrose where as serious mass contains complex carbohydrates. I should have clarified my question on the last post, anyway, I am going to order me one of each :D Trying to be like u when I grow up.
