ZMA question

I've seen at least two different forms of ZMA supps: Zinc Magnesium Aspartate and Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate.

Just curious as to which one is more bioavailable, or who knows the difference between the two. I've searched the forum and only found ZMA discussed as working as a sleep aid, etc. Sorry in advance if I overlooked this info on the site if it's been posted before.

I've supplemented with Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate and it seems to do its job well so far (taken for 2 months) I'm running out of the stuff and was wondering if there's any difference between the two.

Thanks in advance

The original ZMA formuala is combination of zince monomethionine aspartate and magnesim aspartate and vitamin B6.

There is no such thing as a compound zinc magnesium aspartate as far as I know but when you see it called that on labels it is usually a combination of magnesium aspartate and zinc arganate and whatever else the maker may have thrown in like b vitamins and other sleep aids. I don't think they can call these product "ZMA" but you may see zma in the product description.

As far as any difference of effectiveness between the two I don't know. Some people have beneficial sleep effects from original ZMA and they are both a good source of zinc and magnesium, both of which bodybuilders seem to need a lot more of. The other claim is increasing growth hormone blah blah but I don't think there is a lot of evidence that original zma has significant anabolic effects as it is claimed let alone the newer combination.
