Default 1st post.

whats up, i am about 6'2 use to be about 160 lbs but kinda chunky, started to become more active and dropped to 150 but leaner. anway, my school schedual has given me quite a bit of free time and i figure what better to do with it than try to improve my self.

anway, what im looking for is some basic guidance/ a push in the right direction, ive read through pages on this site and its kinda over my head.

Goals- looking to gain 10-20 lbs of muscle mass by september, and overall have a more muscular appearence.

I have 1-2 hours a day i can dedicate to working out, have a nice set of free weights here at home, and my family has a membership to a local health club (more so for my sisters swimming) but they have a nice gym.

I am not against supplements, but before i get into anything like that i want to become more educated as to what it does and how it goes about doing that.

So, help me out here with a workout plan, supplements if any, or any other helpful info you guys have learned over the years.

Thanks.

hey man... welcome to the board....

hhhmmmm.... i have a full library of routines so incase u want one just pm me...

most ppl on this board are very knowledgeful...

u say ur goal is to gain muscle i.e. mass....

i think u might want to read up on these routines:

1.) Max OT

2.) HST

3.) Mark Rippetoe's Beginner Starting Strength Routine

4.) Optimized Volume Training

ok, to be honest, the list can go on and on and on and on (knowing me)...

but understand this fully well: a program doesnt determine ur ability to gain / lose weight... its ur diet that matters....

i hope this has helped
