Gender: | I am about to start the 5x5 program and i am not sure on one thing. If i am doing bench and i can do 230 for 5x5 do i use the same weight each set or do i try to increase the weight from the first set to the last? Example: 5x230 5x230 5x230 5x230 5x230 or 5x220 5x225 5x230 5x235 5x240 |

Gender: | Which one you do depends on the program and where you are at in your lifting. You can do either/or or you can mix them. Read through this to help you decide what is right for you and choose one of the programs, following them to the letter. http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow...nts_thread.htm http://www.bodybuilding.net/training...t-5x5-854.html The first link is Madcow's explanations and that will be very helpful in helping you evaluate which method to use. The second is the 5x5 sticky where you'll find a whole lot of explanation of dual factor theory as well as the programs from Aninmal Mass, Needsize, and Madcow.
