Default Abs training/ Cardio while bulking

I have been bulking lately, and I am skipping my ab work out and cardio all the time, just so that I have more energy to lift heavy. Is it bad? Do you all think that I will end up looking like a fat daddy??

Well, you're not alone. I do zero ab work when bulking, I think it is pointless for most people. Just do it when you're cutting, or you can do it at the end of your workouts. If you end up looking like a fatass then it will likely be due to something other than that.

I disagree, I would still do abs just because if you are going to go "heavy" then you need a stronge core for Deads and Squats.. that is the only reason I do abs while bulking... at least once a week... and no burn outs.. just do them Max OT style  ..

I would do the abs. I wouldn't worry about the cardio.
Bulking is actually a great time to build up the abs. You may not see anything but you sure will when it come time to cut. I do abs year around.

ever watch world's strongest man? Mario Pudjanowski (sorry bout spelling)??? He is freakin strong and fit. He hauls serious butt! When bulking, don't kill yourself to do cardio, but even like 3 30min. sessions a week keeps u feelin healthy and you don't turn to fat.....Abs.....well, that's optional, if it's not hard for you to get, do abs EVERY day when you start cleaning up your diet and as you shed the fat, gauranteed you'll also see ab development. Take it from me a girl.....i never worked abs before, now in my 16 week diet.....did abs bout 10 min with twists every day and as my BF has come down, abs are poppin... Can't believe it!

He is definately the most chiseled one of those guys, I guess he doesn't eat just polish sausage when bulking.

As far as skipping the cardio I pretty much agree with sngle_chck, I don't think its going to matter that much as long as you are still doing it. When I bulk I focus most of my energy on my lifting also to get the muscles growing and tend to worry about my cardio less. But I still make a point to do it so that I don't put on pure fat. So go ahead and cut it back if you want, just don't cut it completely out.

My stomach was starting to be little distended also, so I am doing stomach vaccum excercises also, I dont know if that's the correct name for it, but its the excercise where u suck ur stomach in as far as u can?? May be 0311 knows the name.
