| Rank: New Member Experience: 2-3 Years | thanks everyone for the help! i used to study kenpo constantly.. i actually quit at brown belt around the start of the summer because my instructor just wanted money, i wasnt even learning anything anymore... after that i got really into sport martial arts, aka tricking, which is pretty much an aesthetic blend of kicks, flips and twists.. if youre curious about that and what it is i recommend checking out www.bilang.com anyway, i was getting pretty good at that, and still kept working out at the gym, and i'd do a set of squats or something, and then do backflips. it was fun. longgg story short, i screwed up on a flip in my yard once, and ended up breaking my tibia, i just got out of the cast a month ago.. i still worked out upper body like.. hardcore, but broken leg = no leg workouts.. another problem i have with gaining weight is that i cant do legs for probably another two months, which makes it kind of difficult, so i'm trying to do the best i can while my leg finishes healing. another thing i encountered today.. i went with 0311's advice and increased my eating regimen to pretty much what he posted..and i thought i was eating a lot before.. is it normal to feel like you just cant.. eat anymore? or is that unhealthy. today i went all out, maybe i did too much too soon or something? |

| dam dude that trickz site was pretty cool. Obviously not much in the self defense department, but it looks really sweet. I gotta say that you are dedicated as all hell, lifting upper with a broken lower. Thats some shit man, hold out for the next two months and your set homie. I hate that too full feeling, I really cant help with that since even when i bulk, I still have to watch what I eat. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | If you can, you personally would not benefit from the "clean bulking" sticky. You have a fast metabolism, so you'd need a lot more calories than someone like me or Hardgain would. By the looks of things, you probably wouldn't gain hardly any fat. Brown rice, egg whites, ect. is by no means a bulking diet!! |

| i'll agree that the 'clean' part of clean bulking he wont have to worry about so much 0311. But it is a good outline of how to eat, when to eat, and what macro's to have at each meal. jappo, how do you train for trickz. I couldnt even imagine trying to perpare myself to do things like that. I am very interested in what you do and how you do it |

I don't like to blow smoke...so I'm not gonna pretend it's all that healthy but it is the price you have to pay if you want maximum results. Eating every two hours if you possibly can, which is common advice, is actually one of the keys to increasing your appetite. Judging by what you look like right now, you are gonna be able to get away with a lot. So pay attention to all this information you are getting on how to eat. I, too, can't stress enough that most of you calories should be from real food. However, for slim guys (I have weighed as low as 105, and have a resting weight of around 125) I advocate weight gain shakes as a way of getting those calories you need. Those times when you feel you just can't eat anymore but you still feel you haven't done enough your gonna be able to take in more liquid in the form of a shake. Something with whey and maybe some slow proteins and probably maltodextrin as a carb. Now malto is high GI, I'm not saying go hog wild. The protein and maybe some olive oil or something thrown in should help also. This will help increase your appetite over time, but I am talking only about those times when you just can't meat you caloric needs, NEVER as a meal replacer. Again, this should help increase your appetite, and you can eat even more real food as time goes on. And of course, don't forget what 0311 said about some high GI carbs in your shake after your workouts. | |

| Rank: New Member Experience: 2-3 Years | after the first couple days of hardcore food intake its getting a bit easier... and i have added the GI carbs in with the post workout shakes.. and the whole tricking thing.. you just gotta go out and try it. i had to grow some serious balls though, like i first tried it and was too afraid to try any cool things.. then like a year later i was like "well, im going to grow balls now" and landed backflips and some other things that day.. and you just work off of the basics.. i recommend reading some tutorials at www.trickstutorials.com if you wanna give it a shot, they help. |

| After years and years of eating consistently like you are trying to do now, let me tell you that it will get easier to do as time passes. At first, I felt full all of the time. Now, if I don't eat at the 2 - 2.5 hr mark, I feel like I'm starving. You will get used to it but you have to keep the cals high, esp. given your metabolism. You've got a great base to work with (I took a peek at your posted pics) so keep up the good work. |
