| Rank: Bantamweight | How wouldnt it? you really cant cheat on pushups. if one arm stalls you aint going anywhere. in any variation of pushups, diamonds, hand stands, arms close, arms wide. they both will be doing the same amount of work on a regular basis. im willing to put money on the fact no one has ever seen someone noticablly stonger on one side than the other with pushups. because once you start to see one side cheat you cant finish the pushup. so by looking at his picture they arent that far apart where something like pushups shouldnt help. is that the absolute way for him to go, maybe, maybe not. but from my own experience pushups help me level out my strength in both hands. why wouldnt it help out with the structure? thats just my thoughts. stakd. its not uncommon for men or women to have one breast/pec/nipple just a tab bit naturally bigger or a little off from the other side where it isnt to noticable. | Rank: Bantamweight | When you are doing pushups, you are pushing between 60-70% of your body weight (depending on your weight distribution and thus the position of your center of mass). So that means a 180# person is pushing 126# (at 70%). Would you advocate someone to do 126# bench presses, or declines, or whatever, to even out the chest? |
