Default Back muscles develop and define faster...

My back muscles develop at a faster rate than my pectoral muscles. When I see my front half in the mirror I'm always disappointed and pray my abs (which have taken a few years off) come back. Is there a technique or any other method of results to bring my front torso up to par with my back? Can anyone one psyche me into better development?

Define "develop". To me, that means your adding mass more quickly to your back then your chest, which is a pretty common thing. But then you talk about seeing your abs, and thats a diet thing. What exactly are your goals.

everyone is different. am I reading it right when you say you took a few years off? sounds like you're getting back into exercising. if so, don't worry so much about it because it sounds like temporary adaptations (i.e. you are much twice as strong doing rows as bench press, so your back is sure to develop faster). everyone is different, but if you stay at it long enough and are sure to work out your whole body with the same relative intensity you'll naturally even out to your natural proportions.

The iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends come and go, but 200 pounds is always 200 pounds."
