Gender: | on my cardio days, i like to do 2 sessions of it. What would be better HIIT in the AM Low intensity in the PM, vice versa, or two low intensity sessions? I'd appreciate any input on this. I'm trying to maximize fat loss |

I base my opinion on the premise that when you first wake up and run on an empty stomach, you're in a semi-depleted state. So when you're running for a long period of time, your body will [hopefully] mobilize some of your fat stores into your blood stream for energy. If I remember correctly, the UD2.0 said it switches on after around 30 minutes or something? In the PM, a quick HIIT session is good because you've been eating all day, and your body won't be in a catabolic state like it is in the morning after fasting all night while sleeping. Even if you don't believe in early morning cardio on an empty stomach, a long jog is perfect for when you wake up. It's not very taxing on your body, and your muscles have a lesser chance of pulling IMO. |

Gender: | THanks for the input 0311 i'll most likely end up doing that then....i was thinking for my long duration cardio switch it up between running, biking, and some swimming. And my HIIT would be sprints and then bike and stepper in thw winter. I was also thinking after i asked you about that, maybe switch it up: some days two low, some 1 low 1 high. what do you think? |
