| Hello, Woulld I simply be able to fix my weird proportions by doing light weights and high reps for lower body and low reps with bigger weights for upper body. For fixing the fact that my thighs , legs generally lower body is way bigger, thicker then my upper body. I gain weight almost like a women all the fat goes down. Its was like that when I was thin too so I think its just my body type.Would this tactic work? or the body doesn’t work that way? Thanks for all the help ,answers and suggestions. Gender: | I would advise you to never stop squatting, by doing squats and your compact movements you actually help your upper body grow. Maybe you could lighten up the load so your legs don't grow as much, but I would never just drop squats. |

Gender: | I'm confused. Are you saying there is a lot of fat concentrated in your lower body or are your legs bigger more muscular then the rest naturally? Or both? Oh, well. I'm not sure it matters. Your major proportions are are most likely going to stay. Meaning your legs will always be bigger. Squats will help your upper body grow as well, so you'd be shooting yourself in the foot not doing them. However, although your upper-body will prob. never catch up with your lower no matter what you do the difference can become less noticable as you force growth on your upper body. One of the main things is to work the hell out of your back. A big broad back will go a long way toward creating a more even look...even if it's just an illusion. That means deadlifts, rows, and yes, squats as well. And btw, a lot of people work their ass off to have big legs! Last edited by Eric3237; 06-27-2006 at 01:40 PM. |

Gender: | Yes pullups are good for the back, but things like deadlifts, bent over rows, t-bar rows thing like this will help your put on some real size as far as your back goes |

Gender: | Should serve you well. Most people do way too little back work anyway. And the bright side is that the focus on something positive will take your mind off your proportions BTW, just make sure on whatever program you do or develop that you balance the pushing and pulling as much as possible. |
