i like the coach too. stretching after working out is DAMN important IMO.

Well, I was wrong. (Big shock!)

But, Rippetoe does suggest that the spotter spots the BAR not the LIFTER. He should be behind the lifter, with his hands under the bar, not under the lifter's arms.

this i actually agree with. it is safer for the spotter to hold the bar and not the lifter.

I used to stretch out before lifting and before jogging. Then I read somewhere that it actually hindered strength somehow to stretch before so I started stretching afterwards. Is that wrong and should I go back to stretching before lifting and jogging?

i do dynamic stretches before my workout and longer stretches after. i wouldnt stretch a cold muscle in any case. why is your coach against stretching post workout?
