| It seems buffer people generally also have a larger more defined jaw structure (a good thing)... is this due to the testosterone generated from lifting (more prominent chins have something to do with higher testosterone levels). Or does weightlifting not really effect the face at all? |

Gender: | Weightlifting alone cannot generate above normal levels of test (i.e. above a certain parameter considered "normal") and so is not likely to lead to your jaw growing past it's normal genetic size. |

| perhaps i should rephrase it is obviously impossible during older ages... but during ages 14-18 your bone structure changes significantly anyways... due to testosterone increases during puberty I was just wondering if body building leads to similar things or enhances them |

Gender: | Well there's your answer to some of those prominent jaw lines you see on bb'rs. But weight lifting alone, during puberty or no, is not going to effect you jaw structure. Your body has checks and balances that are not going to be overcome. Yes, during puperty there is more test circulating and I suppose it is possible to have hormone imbalances during purberty that could lead to a larger or smaller jaw...especially if puberty was shorter or longer, whihch is a big determining factor. But while you can take advantage of this period to grow more muscle during puberty (and you're growing a lot naturally) you can't effect the size of your jaw. |

| No, you can't change the line of your jawbone. You can have your jaw broken and reset in an extended position. I believe the best answer to your q. is that BB's and other athletic people have a more defined jawline because they have less fat on their face. |
