Exclamation Evolving Bigger? How?

Hi guys, previously I have been waiting for answer regarding which supplements should I take... Well forget about that...
I have just started training and is seeing results within weeks (the shape) but then again, I'm still skinny in size in actual fact, erm, here my question goes...

Please view my avatar and advice on the training to get bigger in size...

Eat a lot. Make sure you have squats and deadlifts in your routine somewhere.

Read through people's journals and you'll find a bunch of different routines. Pick one you think you could do.

Remember, though, people react differently to different routines. try some different things, and don't expect to be huge in three months.

Learn to EAT, really eat not like a normal person but like a pro bodybuilder.

Then go to the gym and train hard, vary your workouts and train every body part. Use free weights, not machines.

Check my website for more info on food and look at my training photos for ideas.

Vary your workouts? I don't want to oversimplify or overcomplicate anything but are we talking about changing from workout to workout? Or not doing the same lifts for months on end even when they stop being productive. Two very different things. Most people do better with some type of basic overload stimulus. It's very bodybuildierish, no doubt about that. So is the idea of training every body PART instead of the body. Leads to split routine with countless isolations. The body is not a collection of parts. If it were, we'd all move like robots.

Heck yes rotating lifts has a purpose. The more advanced you are the more purpose it has. But for a guy first starting out, variety for the sake of variety is counterproductive. Rotating lifts prevents neural burnout and overuse injuries which allows greater progression over time. Variety in and of itself is not a stimulus for growth.

Don't have a routine.

Train hard when you feel like it, train for a pump when you feel like it, train all body parts equally often.

Don't try to complicate things.

EAT and go to the gym for 3 hours a week. The gym is the easy part.

If you must have a routine change it every 2 months.

If you can grow without a set plan in the gym then you are one of the blessed few. I'm sorry but it's just true. NOT having a plan is how the majority of people who spin their wheels in the gym for years on end do it.

There is so much wrong with that advice I can't even begin to speak on it. Do I think people need to pick a routine out of their hats and do it? No. Do I think they need to plan the progression in their training, set goals, both short term and long term, and reach those goals. Yes.

Some type of overload in the gym. Some type of stimulus that is greater than the stimulus before and that constitutes new territory in terms of the body's fitness is always better than "random acute assaults". The reason I posted is I had a feeling I knew where this was going. If you've had success with that type of "train how you feel" mentality then I am happy for you and more power to you.

I guarantee that a basic simple uncomplicated "routine" will put more mass on the majority of beginners and for the more advanced a plan of attack becomes even more important.

This all sounds very Weiderish...instinctive training, muscle confusion. Yeah right.
