Default Forearms

I was just checking over everyones training routines and noticed that no one really targets their forearms directly. I know that alot of people don't think they have to but I personally do it cause I love the thought of one day having popeye arms.

So do you guys do any forearm exercises? I actually enjoy doing exercises like reverse curls just to see my veins popping afterwards

I do either on arms day or back day. It depends on how much time I have before my wife's curphew. ;) For my inner forearms I prefer behind the back barbell wrist curls. I think it isolates and really burns the best. For the top of my forearm, I usually have them covered with hammer curls or a better choice being reverse curls. I didn't jot them down and have no idea why.

by the time i'm done with bicepts, I dont think i could even do a forarm workout. not to mention they get hit durring kobudo (weapons) days in the dojo, so they are pretty fried most of the time.

I love to train forearms. Awesome burn. I like to do wrist rollers. The gym owner where I train built his own. Very cheap to make. Metal tube, cable with a hook on it. I prop my arms over a barbell in a squat rack, and roll the weight up, and control the weight rolling it down. I usually train my forearms on my last training day of the week.

I did sitting hammer curls yesterday on the bis workout. Wow were my forearms about to burst, looked pretty cool seeing veins i've never seen before. Guess I will consider that to be my forearm exercise?

Do those exercises make your wrists any larger? If not, how do you get those to increase in size at all. I assume eating a lot would work, is that it???

The gain in size to your actual wrist will be minimal, if any. I'm talking about right at the joint. Immediately beyond that will get larger some and heading towards your elbow the gains will be larger. It's just the way the muscle is built.

I always do some for form of direct forearm work, my forearms are naturally scrawny as hell so I have to do some. Besides, I love the burn I get from forearms excersises, find it more intense than any other. Usually work them say day as my bis, I'll do hammer curls, wirst curls and reverse wrist curls. Reverse wrist curls rock because they are just so damn painful for me, they'll sear so bad for me that I'll be close to screaming, hehe it's great.

i work out my forearms whenever i can becuase usually my arms are pretty tired after a bicep workout. i think its also pretty important to work them out becuase they are the most exposed muscle there is during the summer time.

Whoever doesn't take the time to work their forearms will suffer the same fate that happened to me during my Max-OT cycle. When you start to lift very heavy during barbell curls, it'll start to feel like you broke the bone in your forearm. It got to the point where if I even picked up anything over 30 lbs and let it go, my forearm had a very sharp pain. This is due to not showing them the attention they deserve. So if you want big biceps, work the forearms!!
