I don't have the time to look up the reference right now, but if I remember correctly...fruit is fine. Those GI numbers are based on 50grams of carbs which means a boatload of fruit, more than anyone would normally consume. I'm not entirely sure but I know the answer is definitely in the Glycemic Index thread.

"NO, this is my squat rack. Go get your own!"

Here you go Kane, I think this is what you're talking about:

The high consumption of fructose seen in most studies is generally due to the consumption of high levels of high fructose corn syrup (processing where varying portions of glucose are converted to fructose). Another consideration is fructose causes minimal insulin secretion. Even if fructose consumption was high enough to elevate fat synthesis lack of insulin would probably result in increased fat oxidation. Assuming calorie deficit it probably all evens itself out at the end of the day. Eat fruit - it's nutritious and generally low in calories.
Good memory, Kane. BTW, guys, don't forget guiero's other thread. I don't want my advice to backfire on him

EricT's Sig:I'm tired of the myth that bb'rs aren't flexible. As a group, they are extremely flexible. They have an amazing ability to bend over, place their heads between their legs, and blow smoke up their own asses.
