Default Here's what I got to work with.

Two 8 lb dumbells and a 25 lb dumbell. Since I'm very young, and weak, I can't curl the 25lb one.. (with one hand, but two hands is okay)

1. Any ideas on what type of exercises to get arm strength?

2. Any idea how many repitions and sets to do of each one?

3. How long, (can it be estimated?) will it take before I can curl 25, when I can do about 10 now?

4. I don't really care about any other part of my body right now, just arms.

Any other tips will be appreciated.

If you want to start young good for you, but dont focus on just arms that'll lead you down wrong path. Also yeah how old are you? If you aren't lifting much why not try push ups and pull ups.

Tips:

1) No offense, but caring only about your arms is silly and vain.
2) To get anything bigger you must eat more.
3) If you are not very strong, I'd start off with doing pull-ups, push ups and dips (between two chairs or off the edge of a sturdy bench. And you can continue to do your curls.
4) Do lunges for your legs.

it is very important for us to know how old you are, how much you weigh and how tall you are...

if you are under 13, i suggest waiting it out and eating a whole lot more just to put on some weight (if you're the skinny kid or something)

Alright guy, I think highly of you for being so interested at such a young age...

What it sounds like is you are short and fat and want to look better? I used to be the fat kid in class myself (when I was 11 I was 160 lbs and about your height..) so I can understand how you feel, maybe.

What I would suggest, if you want to lose weight, is not to do very much lifting at all. You are still young, and working out with weights can cause some damage to a body thats not finished growing. When you are around 13 or 14 you can look to get into more lifting, thats just my opinion on that though...

What you should do to lose weight is cardio excersizes. This means things like running, jogging, bike riding, playing sports like soccer, basketball, hockey or anything that involves a lot of movement. If your parents can afford it, I would really recommend going to a martial arts school that involves a lot of movement such as Tae Kwon Do or Shotokan Karate, or whatever kind of Karate schools are near you. Martial arts will help you increase flexibility, provide you with a trainer to keep your progress up, help you build strength and confidence, help you lose weight and get you into great shape pretty fast (AND ITS A LOT OF FUN!!!)

If that option is out of the question, just run. Find a place where it's ok for you to run and do it. If not, take your bike out and go for a ride, its a lot of run and make sure you keep the pace up to burn off some calories. Its fun, challenging and will get you into shape.

If you STILL think this isn't what you want and you REALLY want to lift, then stick to calestheics at your age (that means workouts that use only your body weight like pushups, pullups and dips on a bench. These will increase your strength and get you in control of your body.

It sounds like you look at yourself as "the fat kid" and when you are 11 that can be a tough place to be in. I was the same way and I'm VERY glad you are lookin to get on top of that. My biggest recommendation would be Karate. It is so much fun and it will really get you into shape and get you more powerful than you think! After 2 months of karate, one kid who i was training who was about your age and weight could already break three boards with a side kick. 2 months isnt a long time, and you can be that powerful too!

Look into it bud.
