Kerpenen, on the wide grip bench it doesn't matter how it feels now or wheter it burns or wether, as the old standby goes, "it's never given you a problem". These kinds of things are cumulative in nature and benching like that a lot is going to put wear a tear on the shoulder girdle that will come back to haunt you. It's really a very bad idea. You need to choose a more neutral grip so that you can keep the elbows tucked in closer to your sides. You may not have a problem today or even next year, but if you keep it up as the load goes up eventually you're bound to have big problems. |
