Default Is there a lighter straight bar for ultra beginners?

Hey guys, I just started following Rippetoe's 3x5 program a few weeks ago and have been pleased with it so far. I haven't made the gains that I was hoping to so far, but I honestly believe it's my fault for not eating enough. Anyway, I'd like to get my wife started on the same program as she's been doing a lot of walking and is trimming up nicely, but we all know that a good workout program is vital. I know she's not going to hit a gym, so I thought I could walk her through the program in our basement where I have more than enough equipment. Only problem is that the lightest bar I have is 45lbs, and that's just too heavy for her to start with. Does anyone sell something in the 10-15lb range? I've seen those foam covered bars at in the gym which start out pretty light, but I wasn't sure if there was anything that would take standard olympic plates without needing to be modified.

Man, sorry about that guys. Just realized I can pick up the small sized weight bar and plates for my exact needs.

Feel free to delete this thread. ;)

A standard bar, if you could find one, would probably work. I think they tend to come in at around 20 lbs. You could even get cheap standard plates at walmart to get her started. You could then figure out other things to use it for once she graduated to the olympic bar.

Edit* Didn't see you second post until after I posted, lol.
