Default just a myth?

ok so i have been struggling with this annoying thin layer of fat over my abs. i feel them underneath they just arent visible. what i was wondering is if its true that you can turn fat into muscle? sorry if its kind of a dumb question but i am a noob with bodybuilding.

Sorry it can't be done. Read the Stickies at the top of each section to get a better idea on what you need to do. That way you can ask the harder questions and get more indepth answers.

There is no direct way to to "turn fat into muscle", it doesnt work like that. You can however burn fat, and build muscle. Being able to see your abs is going to be a matter of diet, and getting your bodyfat low enough to see the defined abs under there.

As mentioned, fat and muscle tissue are chalk and cheese.

You can build muscle and lose fat giving the impression that "fat turned to muscle" which I imagine is who the myth came about...
