Gender: | I've had the same problem for years, kinda souds like the cartilage clicking. I don't really know what it is from. But the other day my knee hurt really bad after doing some a2g squats. I'd be interested to find out. |

Gender: | Just to offer my two cents. The clicking could be the patella tracking out of line. Basically not lying in it's groove and so rubbing over something. Don't take this to the bank but I think that this is most likely caused by problems in the outer thigh/knee. Just maybe some iliotibial stretching could help. |

| I've had the same problem. The way to prevent it happening is to try and shift the weight backwards. Basically instead of thinking about the weight coming forward putting all the pressure on your knees, stick your butt out a little more and focus on the lowering of your ass down and the rest of your body will follow your ass. |

Gender: | In simpler terms, the iliotibial band runs from the hip to the knee moreso on the outer side of the leg. This gives some good stretches for the area (look to the right side of the hip abductor listing for stretches): http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/Hip...#anchor1938163 |
