What exactly do you mean? Everyone's back has a natural arch. Are you sure yours is exagerated? For instance, does your butt stick out further than your upperback? Another thing to consider is that some people can have more or less curve and it could be normal for you.

However if you do think you have lordosis then you would need to get it checked out to see if there is a medical cause...such as a misalingned disc. If it's not something that requires medical treatment then a physical therapist would be best suited to tell you what to do but I can guarantee it would involve STRETCHING and STRENGTHENING. Your abs, back, and hamstrings.

Well, the reason I say see the doctor is because there can be a number of serious medical conditions that can cause this. Not trying to scare you. I would just be remiss not to mention it. Some of it could even require surgery to correct and doing the wrong exercises could just end up doing more damage than good. But none of that is likely.

In a nutshell, yes, strengthening all those things will PROBABLY help but don't discount the STRETCHING which could be just as if not more important. For instance, imbalances in flexibility between one muscle and another can be just as important a consideration as imbalances in strength. And if you just strengthen a tight muscle that is causing a problem you could just be making it tighter!

So see a doctor and go from there. And you'll prob get someone telling you to go to a chiroproctor. Don't do it. At least not now. You ever met anyone who goes to a chiropractor and hasn't been going every week for years FOR THE SAME PROBLEM?
