Default manta ray squat attachment

I like doing squats but the bar puts a lot of pressure on my neck area even with the pads. I broke a bone in my neck 10 years ago so i'm concerned about this.

A few weeks ago i saw a guy with a manta ray attachment that goes on the bar and you just fit your shoulders under it. It's supposed to take the weight off the neck. Anybody ever seen one?

we have one at our school and i find that it does nothing if not fitted correctly. If it doesn't fit on your neck right all it will do is hurt your collar bone really bad. I would say that it isn't all that helpful

Default manta ray

Are you using it for front or rear squats.

it would be impossible to use for a front squat because thats on your chest/shoulders. we've got one at my school and it doesn't fit anyone over about 200 pounds (they may come in different sizes). if you broke a bone in there and it hurts bad when doing squats id give it a try.
