Default muscle atrephy

I broke my right elbow a month ago and now I have my cast off and have just started exercises to get my full flextion and range of motion back. Problem is the last three years I've been into my workouts faithfully and now my right arm is noticabely smaller than my left. It's bugging the crap out of me even though there's not much I can do at this point. Does anybody know how I can get my right arm symmetrical with my left now that I have this problem. I don't want to work the left until the right matches or am I incorrect in my assumptions? Advice Please

They should just even out naturally over time. The larger arm supposedly should get less work anyway since the smaller arm will be closer to failing first.

If they were the same size before they'll be the same size again. I wouldn't worry about it.

Not working your left arm would be, imo, a mistake. Some people try to use dumbells and work the weaker arm first. I think it is just as well to use a barbell. Concentrate on keeping the bar parallel as you move it. Don't let the weak arm lag behind. Should be fine.

Also, keep in mind that people who never touch weights break their arms too, and they don't end up with noticeably different sized arms (unless they have an occupation that causes this). Should even out even faster, I should think, for you.

dont sweat it, it will correct itself. you may be limited by it for a while, it may fatique faster ect. but in time all will be symetrical again.

Default Thanks Guys

Ok I'll relax and things work the legs hard in the mean time. If I push my leg exercises it should minimize my muscle loss in my upper extremities hopefully. It's been 4 weeks and my arm feels decent, so in another couple weeks I might be able to do some light training I'm thinking.
