Default New Deadlift PR for BG!

This week was supposed to be a deload week before I start my new routine next week. 3x8's of medium weight. Today was lower body: deads, front squats, good mornings and shrugs.

Well, I started the deadlifts. Was gonna do 3x5 for 250 or so. The first set went nice, and I said, "what the hell" and tossed a couple of quarters ont here for 275. Did 5. Put 10 more on each side, 5 more. I was gonna put anotehr couple dimes on there and realized it was almost another plate. So three plates. Did three with room in the tank for more.

I know I shoulda stopped there, it's a deload week. But I was feeling it. My former max was 325. Put some tens on there (335) Pulled it no prob. Two more dimes (355). Pulled it! Threw a quarter on (after taking the 10's off, of course). Pulled 365! Failed on 375.

Felt great tho'!

Did three sets of medium shrugs and called it a (great) day...

Great job! Always easier hitting PR's when you're lifting OPTIMALLY!

You could've easily got the 375 if you weren't so exhausted from all the previous sets.

Plus, when I was re-reacking the weights (like all good boys and girls should do!), the 45's felt like 45-cent pieces instead of 45 lbs....
