Quick lesson.

1) It was a joke, big deal.
2) If you don't have a thick skin and think the world's against you, posting on internet forums isn't going to suit your needs.

To address your question, your arm strength will eventually even itself out. DB's aren't always the best solution though IMO (<- that means in my opinion ) If you can take Eric's advice and do some chinups/pullups or use a straight bar, you'll naturally force the weaker side to catch up and force it to adapt.
