Default pinched nerve or muscle tear

Ok, I started my cutting cycle again, and Monday was the first day.

Was doing upper body and hitting biceps last, did just 4 sets of 15 lbs, at 15 reps twice, 20 pounds at 12 reps, then the last set was about 22 pounds at 10 reps, and then I felt a little heat in my traps (was near the upper left corner of the shoulder blade area). Did'nt think much of it then, until a few days later I kind of felt it again, have'nt lifted weights all week. Just doing upper once and lower once...

I read up on the muscle tears stuff and ect. But it did;nt really start hurting until today. Put some ice on it at school.

Friend told me it might of been a pinched nerve.

bakkily's Sig:230 pounds, 22ish percent bf, 5'11

Goals: Reach 190, 8 percent BF (by sept, oct, wanna get 4% for a teen bodybuilding competition)

Squat over 400, bench 300, Deadlift 350 (in which I doubt I will be able to do) but I shall PUSH myself!

.....OR a combo of bad form and DOMS.

If you felt pain back in your trap during a bicep exercise, you're rounding your upper back too much.

If it were a tear, you really wouldn't be able to move your upper body much without searing pain.

Pinched nerve is a possiblity (yet unlikely), although if that were the case, again it would stem from bad form.

^^^ true that.

if your traps are hurting doing curls, then you must be swinging a LOT....

btw, this is a funny joke (off topic): what do powerlifters call training biceps and triceps??

answer: grip work and bench assistance training

Whoah! Calm down there. No one was flaming you. You asked a question, it was answered with the info you gave us. If you wanted to research it on your own and not trust anyone for input, you shouldn't have asked.

And even though you were doing alternating curls, you still shouldn't be getting pain in your trap.

DOMS is delayed onset muscle soreness.

Well, basicly before I started my new diet on Sunday. My family made about 100 cinnamon rolls, and I ate about I think 10-15 of them.

My teacher said that possibly its my gallbladder thats hurting...not a pinched nerve because its not that much of a pain....

What do you guys think?

you dont know what DOMS is? read up on it...

as for you getting so defensive....imagine if i said i was doing dumbbell flyes and my biceps were pumped at the end of it...does that make ANY sense? probably not. same with the info you presented to us: you were doing curls and your traps started hurting??? do you not find that weird?

what do you do for lower body work?
