| I'll be coming off a 5x5 routine next week with tremendous strength gains. I'd like to drop some of this fat. I'm looking for something that will get me in the gym 4 days a week (the 5x5 was only 3 days a week) to try and burn some more calories. I was thinking of doing an upper/lower split 4 days a week centered around compound movements. Any suggestions on this cutting method? Of course, I will be dieting and adding cardio as well. Thanks in advance. |

| Rank: New Member | I've been doing the 5X5 since Nov. with excellent results too. I think you should keep doing it as well but tweak your diet a little. I'm starting to cut up right now doing this program and I'm still eating the same amount of calories. Post a sample of your meals. |

| I've been hitting around 3,000 calories a day with 225-250 grams of protein a day. I tried to stick around 2,500 calories a day when I first started this 5x5 but a little after a week in to it I was getting hungry a lot because the workout was really taxing my body. I ran the 5x5 posted here in this forum. Perhaps I should try another 5x5 routine? What 5x5 are you running Skeetopunk01? |
