Gender: | Hi, Does anyone use/own a pair of powerblocks or anything like it? What do you think of them? I'm getting sick of changing the weights on/off my dumbells and wasn't sure if anything like the powerblocks were any good. Thanks. http://thebenchpress.com/shop/produc...products_id=78 Riley |

| Rank: Middleweight Experience: 1-2 Years | i've got a set that goes up in ten pound increments...from 10-50 pounds...it's got 2 2.5 pound adder weights inside the handle so you can adjust by that too...kinda nice. but whenever i put it on the scale...it never matches up to what it's supposed to be |

Gender: | It's a nice option for home workouts but they can be awkward as your start using more and more weight. I'd go to a local retailer and try them out before you buy them just to make sure you like them. I personally don't like Powerblocks because of their block design (alot of people love them though) and prefer something like ProBells because they are more like a regular dumbbell. Just keep in mind if your serious about working out you can quickly outgrow the 50 lbs or whatever most of these base sets go up to. |

You'll outgrow them pretty quickly if you stick with it. If you find them super cheap or if you're filthy rich, then go for it! |

Gender: | Thanks for the input. I'll figure out exactly what weights I am commonly using and price out dumbells in just those weights and see how that compares to the powerblocks. |
